I invite you to ask yourself...

What's calling me?

What's desiring to be born from my gifts?

How is my soul finding its fullest expression in this lifetime?

Not sure? Think back on all the younger versions of you throughout childhood all the way into becoming a young adult.

What did you enjoy? What felt natural to you?

When your inner child bravely navigates fulfillment in adult life, joy appears over and over again.

Looking back, the precursor to curating fun cacao drinking events was tea parties with my childhood best friend using the piano bench as our table.

The initiation for the 1:1 healing sessions and community circles I now facilitate began with years spent as the emotional processor for my family and friends (a soul contract that evolves through fascinating cycles of inner work).

The wonder and joy I would feel when playing outside as a child is the same lifeline I nurture now connecting to the Earth and its sacred medicine (my fave being Cacao).

I am happiest when I'm learning something new! I continually take classes and devour information because my soul loves exploration and innovation.

Sharing resources with others is one of my love languages. Try things on, then take what resonates and compost the rest as one of my favorite teachers, Maryam Hasnaa says!

I spent my 20s studying and working in three fields that absolutely add to my work with clients. I almost became an art therapist, early childhood teacher, and nurse before becoming a licensed massage therapist (LMT) in 2007.

My BA is in Psychology from The George Washington University and I minored in Fine Art and Art History. Painting and sculpture got me through a rough adolescence and I still return to art when words escape me and I need deep processing. That's also why I love dance (and bodywork) so much!

I bring bits and pieces of my studies and experiences into our sessions based on your individual needs and intentions. Human Design, spirituality, emotional regulation, neuroscience, and creativity are top interests. I'm also keen on nourishing the soul.

Over the years, I've witnessed, facilitated (and personally experienced) the most amazingly transformative sessions when spirit, the body's wisdom, and the soul are given a safe place to discover expression and play.

This has shown up time and again while helping clients find relief from:

  • Discomfort of Unknown Cause

  • Chronic Pain

  • Chronic Illness

  • Burnout

  • Joint Hypermobility (Often Undiagnosed)

  • Grief & Loss

  • Nervous System Dysregulation

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • PTSD

  • Life Transitions

  • Career Dissatisfaction

  • Spiritual Awakening

In our work together, we'll pay attention to relationship dynamics and energetic boundaries. Tuning into transference & countertransference and managing it skillfully heals the subconscious wounds looping in your system.

Mindfulness practice and Buddhist thought guide our work as well. It's incredibly impactful to be witnessed and to be a sacred witness for yourself and others. By coming into full presence, we can engage in grief tending which includes recognizing and softening feelings of guilt and shame.

Relearning how to trust yourself and others while in community is paramount for living out your purpose in this lifetime which is to find expression as your most authentic self.

Silent meditation retreats with Shell Fischer are incredibly valuable for my personal processing. They're a necessary component of my evolution as a skilled healing practitioner and kinder human being. I highly recommend them for getting to know and love yourself and your emotions very deeply.

Similarly, I love the container of conscious movement and moving meditation like 5Rhythms dance workshops (especially Heartbeat ones!), Friday night dances with Ann Kite's community in Bethesda, MD, and medicine circle and dance facilitator training with my mentor, Sylvie Minot. Movement is the #1 thing that hydrates fascia and alchemizes emotions!

My mind-body/somatics curiosity began with personal experience as a highly sensitive person. During my 19+ year career as a bodyworker, I've come to realize that developing multi-leveled awareness and including daily practice of stillness and movement are vital for true embodiment. I continue to grow my knowledge with the Embody Lab, Linda Thai, and ART International.

The exploration of energy began fresh out of massage school with Thai massage training and Reiki practice. Back in 2008, I received my first attunement in the lineage of Usui Reiki Ryoho with Victoria Hux and many years later, in 2024 I received my Level III attunement with Frans Stiene. I've completed an online energy healing apprenticeship and various courses with Cyndi Dale and I'm a graduate of Maryam Hasnaa's Tier 1 of Etheric Gardening.

My cacao facilitator training is through Ora Cacao and I've spent time learning from Cacao Laboratory's Florecer community.

Honestly, Mama Cacao herself has been the ultimate guide! I bring the sacred medicine of cacao to my sessions in Arlington because I'm on a mission to share her magic with everyone.

Cacao is my personal "secret sauce" to happy living. I'm so incredibly grateful she led me to discover myself more fully and I'm honored to be a steward of this plant ally!

Studying CranioSacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute has been life changing. Eric Moya's class on depletion and resilience influences my work and deepens it. I cannot wait to continue learning more and more about our cranial sacral system, the home of the brain and spinal cord, the command centers of the body. They have a lot to say and I'm here to listen and help you understand the connections to your everyday life.

John F. Barnes's approach to Myofascial Release (MFR) has been pivotal in equipping me with the skills to help clients discharge and somatically process the energetic and physiological blocks of traumatic accidents, injuries, and surgeries. I completed 6 of his seminars before moving on to study with Upledger instructors.

Precision Neuromuscular Therapy (PNMT) has been my clinical massage and manual therapy foundation for assessing and treating soft tissue imbalances. It was through them that I discovered a love for supporting clients through complex soft tissue healing. I'm truly grateful for their trainings and highly recommend them!

Looking for clinical massage therapy and manual therapy? Book a session with me at Alexandria Myotherapy, Inc. (AMI). Select "Myofascial Massage" to experience a holistic session tailored to meet your unique needs.

Curious about CranioSacral? See me at AMI or book a session at my Metro-accessible office at Randolph Towers in Ballston, Arlington. These are light touch, clothed sessions that are incredibly relaxing and highly impactful on so many levels.

Ceremonial-grade cacao has simply transformed my life. Cacao Lab was the first cacao I drank as a consistent daily ritual.

In my personal experience, I can whole-heartedly say that cacao is the best antidepressant and anti-anxiety supplement I've ever taken.

I'm genuinely a happier, kinder, and more creative person when I drink cacao. This particular heirloom cacao from Cacao Lab is ethically grown in agroforestry systems in Ecuador.

It's super high vibe and sometimes overwhelming if you resist what it's trying to show you which is the multitude of creative possibilities out there waiting for you.

It was the Spirit of Cacao that led me to embody a life of aligned abundance!

I've also been in ceremony with co-founder Florencia Fridman in-person and she's amazing! When you purchase a product, you'll be invited to join her online community where she offers opportunities for connection and a deepening of your spiritual journey.

2 / ORA CACAO <<

I trust the ceremonial cacao brands that are truly transparent about their sourcing and demonstrate high integrity when it comes to ethical practices. They also develop real relationships with the cacao farmers and pay them well beyond fair trade prices.

In my research, I came across Ora Cacao, another amazing brand that understands the importance of honoring the Mesoamerican roots of cacao and sets themselves apart by testing caffeine content and sharing a wealth of knowledge on their website and newsletters.

Ora Cacao founder, Jonas, is another business owner, like Florencia of Cacao Lab, who considers themselves a steward of this sacred plant medicine.

After spending weeks getting to know a specific cacao, I'll alternate between them based on what my soul needs that day.

Ora Cacao is a no-brainer for daily use. Boundless Belize is my fave for getting sh*t done and being introspective. Uplifting Uganda is great to drink before dance. Try them all!

I also love Ora Cacao's adaptogenic blends, especially Tantric Rose Blossom which has rose and damiana added. These two plants are helpful for easing the effects of perimenopausal hormone changes.

If the cost of minimally processed ceremonial-grade cacao is outside your budget or its traditional form is inconvenient to use, I recommend trying Ora Cacao's Triple Fat Cacao Powder. A little goes a long way! Use my code JENNY35490 for 10% off your purchase.

Note that this is the only cacao powder I would trust since commercially produced cacao powders found in the supermarket are overly manufactured, removing the majority of fat content and their flavor and quality are much lower than ceremonial-grade cacao since their beans are not nearly as premium level.

The naturally occurring cacao fat is the secret to all the amazing nutrition and magic of cacao.

Ceremonial-grade cacao is A WHOLE FOOD so the high fat content in it makes for a smoother landing in your system. This fat content also makes its nutrients bioavailable so we can more easily absorb and receive the full benefits of all the magnesium and flavonoids in it. Plus, cacao contains neuromodulators such as anandamide (the "bliss molecule") and phenylethylamine (PEA) which helps with focus and amplifies creativity.

And it's not just metaphorically a "heart-opener." It's a literal vasodilator that opens your blood vessels and arteries for increased circulation.

High-quality ceremonial cacao is gentle and rarely jittery unless you're highly sensitive and you've had too much on an empty stomach. Enjoying cacao as a drink simply mixed with water is a vastly different experience than drinking coffee or even tea.

Did you know that the Philippines was the first country in Asia to grow cacao? Spanish galleons sailing between Acapulco, Mexico, and Manila, Philippines, carried cacao seeds and plants in the late 17th century.

One of my most fond childhood memories of growing up Filipino in NJ was eating a breakfast food of chocolate rice called champorado. Of course at the time, the Lola who was cooking it was not using high quality tablea (the cacao tablets from the Philippines).

Now through companies like Bar and Cocoa, it's much easier to buy Filipino cacao. I enjoy the Filipino brand Auro Chocolate for full fat unsweetened cacao coins. They source directly from farms in Davao, Philippines.

Our traditional prep of cacao as a drink (called tsokolate, pronounced "cho-ko-lat-eh") can include peanut butter and is definitely sweetened! It's whisked with a wooden batirol, the Filipino equivalent of the Mexican molinillo.

I'm highly sensitive to caffeine, so when I found out that cacao contains enough caffeine to affect my sleep in addition to the naturally occurring stimulant of Theobroma Cacao, I had to adjust my daily intake and figure out how to get a good night's sleep after enjoying a ceremonial dose which is around 40g.

In my research, I found Daily De-Caffeinate, a pill form of a supplement that claims to help break down caffeine and therefore contribute to a more restful night's sleep.

It singles out Rutaecarpine, an ingredient found in the plant Evodia Rutaecarpa, used in traditional Chinese medicine. My acupuncturist friend says this herb is not meant for long-term use, so what I do is take Daily De-Caffeinate only when I have a higher dose of ceremonial cacao which is about once a week, the recommended frequency for larger doses.

This supplement brand recommends daily use for greatest efficacy, but I'm not convinced that's the best use for me. I've noticed I do sleep better when I take it which is why I recommend it here for folks who are sensitive to caffeine and still want to enjoy ceremonial-grade cacao.

Please consult your doctor before trying since a study indicates it can accelerate the metabolization of acetominophen (Tylenol) potentially affecting your liver function. So it's best NOT to take this supplement with Tylenol or if you have problems with your liver.

I'm so grateful for TBM founder, Lacy Phillips, her vision, and her whole team. I can 100% attribute my acceleration in spiritual growth to TBM.

An early episode of their podcast, Expanded, led me to one of my most favorite spiritual teachers, Maryam Hasnaa who then led me to Cyndi Dale, who shined a light on energetic boundaries repair.

To Be Magnetic's Neural Manifestation method absolutely works too! Use code JENNY1094 to enjoy 15% off your year-long commitment to The Pathway. Monthly payment plan is available. All sales final.

I use The Pathway workshops to reprogram my subconscious. This comes in super handy for embodying the most authentic version of your full self-worth by healing the layers of childhood wounding.
