SENSITIVITY MINUS THE OVERWHELM
Jenny's specialty is mentoring highly sensitive, empathic individuals in developing a robust nervous system and savvy energetic boundaries with a personalized daily practice. Keep reading to understand why.

HOW THINGS WORK
Your body is your anchor for navigating an overstimulating world. Within your body is your complex nervous system consisting of the brain, nerves, and your spinal cord. Its job is to keep you alive. It's in charge of interpreting the sensory information you take in and when you're highly sensitive, you're taking in more than the average person.
WHAT'S GOING ON
Your nervous system is sensitized for a number of reasons. It could be the innate trait of high sensitivity, neurodivergence (i.e. ADHD, ASD, etc), a medical condition, a spiritual issue, systemic oppression, and all types of trauma. These contributing factors make regulating emotions and managing their intensity challenging. And let's not forget the expression of your attachment style combined with your default nervous system responses.

THE SECRET TO FEELING ENERGIZED
In Jenny's experience of being highly sensitive and healing trauma, she discovered that meditation and energy healing practices had a significant impact on the integration of all of the therapeutic work she was doing. It literally was the secret sauce to feeling better! And in her work with clients, this appears time and time again. When we unknowingly neglect nurturing strong energetic boundaries and a daily practice of energy cultivation, we continue to feel drained and become vulnerable to chronic depletion.

JUST WHAT YOU NEED
In your work with Jenny, you'll have an opportunity to transform pain, tension, and discomfort in mind, body, spirit, heart, and soul with highly effective manual therapy such as CranioSacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, and Neuromuscular Therapy and a uniquely tailored relational skills practice of mindful awareness, somatic coaching, energy healing, and spiritual guidance. When you put all of these skill sets together, you get a customized SOMATIC HEALING designed just for you.

HIGHLY EFFECTIVE MODALITIES
In this day and age, we have SO MANY choices when it comes to seeking relief. I offer manual therapy modalities that are highly effective at reducing discomfort associated with headaches, TMJ (temporomandibular joint) pain, neck and shoulder tension, and low back pain. Keep reading to learn more. Each heading is a link.
CranioSacral Therapy was developed by Dr. John E. Upledger, a family health physician who made this incredibly transformative and gentle modality accessible to more people by teaching it to all allied health practitioners. Historically, it was only offered by osteopathic doctors.

It is hands-down, my most favorite modality to study, receive, and provide to my clients because its main paradigm is to tune into YOUR inner wisdom which is key for deep healing.

CranioSacral Therapy incorporates light touch with focused holds at your head, spine, and sacrum that affect your entire mind, body, spirit, heart, and soul. It includes therapeutic dialogue as well. It's a kind invitation to connect to the calm that rests within your whole self. It can often feel like waking up from the best nap ever.

We facilitate healing in the home territory of your brain and spinal cord which is bathed in cerebrospinal fluid and supported by fascia and bones. When your nervous system is happy, your body functions more optimally.
NMT was the very first manual therapy that I was exposed to in massage school. Trigger points were another mind blowing phenomenon that just made so much sense.

It was also the foundation of my clinical massage work because it really taught me assessment and treatment. Thank you James Ivaska for being a great teacher and mentor!

NMT is specific and direct touch. It's the deepest touch I'll use in only the places that need it. It's the pincer grasp at the sternocleidomastoid muscle and the pin and stretch of your psoas.

If you have chronic pain, it's often the modality we'll tie in to interrupt the feedback loop of a tense muscle.
Your fascia is the three-dimensional web of connective tissue that's interwoven throughout all your muscles and organs including your brain and spinal cord.
When I took a deep dive into the world of manual therapy techniques, MFR blew my mind. It took the concept of "muscle memory" to a whole new level.

Protective, holding and bracing patterns from past accidents and injuries plus their associated emotions are often released with MFR as they are in CST as well.
MFR, as developed by physical therapist, John F. Barnes, goes deep with slow, sustained holds. This time element gives the ground substance in your fascia the opportunity to change from viscous to more fluid-like, often translating into longer lasting tension relief.

I use MFR as techniques rather than as an approach. I prefer the slower pace of CST. It aligns with my intention to be trauma-informed. Myofascial Release tends to open the flood gates really wide, so I use it discerningly.
My style of somatic coaching is a unique combo of practitioner experience, self-practice, grounding techniques, and somatic trainings I've taken with Linda Thai and The Embody Lab.

Perhaps in yoga class or when you meditate, you've gotten the hang of observing sensation and feelings as you practice.

We'll use this body awareness to help you tap into your nervous system's responses in real time.
The reset happens when stuck energy or emotions are discharged in an intuitively paced self-regulation process supported by dialogue, guided visualization, and co-regulation.
HOW TO THRIVE AS A SENSITIVE SOUL
It's easy to over-identify with sensitivity as a "superpower" or even a "curse" when life seems to continually overwhelm you. I've learned that approaching the intensity with a sense of neutrality becomes the key to thriving as a highly sensitive person (HSP).
We no longer have to feel shame for who we are nor hide from life. We can choose to engage with the world in ways that feel good to us!

The trick is to use techniques that actually help you self-regulate and co-regulate your energy.

The years of absorbing others' emotions as children continue into adulthood until we realize we no longer have to spend the rest of our lives processing for others.

As adults, we can choose another way to feel love and belonging.
Peace and joy are actually your natural states! Things feel off when you allow other people's thoughts, feelings, emotions, and programming to stick to you. It doesn't have to be this way!
I'll teach you how to self-heal your energetic boundaries so you can rediscover the joy of authentic connection!
